Conferences and major events

As one of Australia's leading social entrepreneurs, Andrew is in demand as a keynote speaker, MC and expert panel contributor. He talks placemaking, communities, urban renewal and the power of residents to strengthen their suburbs and towns. As an Australia Day Ambassador he travels to a new part of the country each January, getting to know residents and actively participating in local celebrations.

With a background in media, politics and government plus the not-for-profit sectors in Australia and the United Kingdom where he worked for British Red Cross, Andrew also speaks passionately and knowledgably about other issues close to his heart - public transport, philanthropy, volunteering, eHealth, mainstream media and the emergence of new media.

Our communities are only as strong as the people who live in them - Andrew Heslop
